New England QRP (NEQRP) Symposium

The QRP Club of New England (NEQRP) club will have their annual Boxboro! symposium of talks for low-power radio enthusiasts, field operators, and home-brewers/kit builders on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Seminar room. More details on the Forum Schedule.

NEQRP will also be hosting a Build-a-thon of their WBB, or "World's Biggest Buildathon" kit. What is a WBB kit? It is a simple little one transistor transmitter with a switchable two frequency operation mode. The oscillator runs continuously but at two different output levels. On key up, the oscillator runs at very low power to use as a radiated local oscillator in an inexpensive SWL receiver close by. On key down, the output increases to a much higher level that can be picked up in receivers further away.

The Build-a-thon is at 7:00 PM on Saturday in the Seminar room. There is a limited amount of spots available, so be sure to register ahead of time by signing up on NEQRP's website.
